Errorlytics is our first attempt at building an application to help webmasters through one of the largest, yet most neglected issues in website management – handling 404 errors.
As web development and internet marketing consultants, we’ve seen our share of folks relaunch websites without a care or concern given to the fact that the “old” site hand hundreds of pages indexed in the major search engines and referring lots of delicious traffic to the site.
Errorlytics is an attempt to help webmasters become more aware of the 404 errors on their websites, and also easily correct them – thus making live better for both their human website visitors, as well as bots and spiders that are trying to index their content.
Errorlytics was created by the folks at Accession Media with mucho help from Rails guru Seth Ladd. As of this writing (July 21, 2008) we are currently in the early alpha stages of the product development. We’re testing it out in a very closed manner with some of our friends and family websites. If you’d like to participate in our alpha or beta programs please drop your email here and we’ll be sure to notify you when we’re ready for you.
Thanks,
The Errorlytics Team
